The Hudson Valley Hospital Center Major Modernization project expanded the existing facility with the addition of the South Building, the North Building, and the expansion of the PCU.

The PCU expansion structure, located on the second story roof of an existing building, was constructed over the existing Emergency Room, including structural tie-ins and columns through the existing building area.

The North Building includes two state of the art Operating Rooms with Pre-op Holding Areas and Recovery Rooms on the second floor. A PT/OT treatment area was built on the first floor.

The South Building added 90 patient beds to the facility, elevators, entry lobby and integrated the existing emergency room with an addition on the main floor, creating a “no wait” emergency room that expanded from 19 to 39 treatment areas.The two-story facility houses ISO-NE’s backup control room and data center. The control room is located within the center of the building and features a two-story video wall and the adjacent data center contains ISO-NE’s unique redundancy requirements. Other significant features include flexible office and conferencing spaces, entrance guard shack complete with secure perimeter fencing and helicopter pad.
