New six-story, 159,000-SF academic building along the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa. Interior spaces include: teaching and research labs, support, prep spaces, faculty offices, and student/faculty collaborative areas. Specialty labs include: Ecology & Marine Biology, Imaging/NMR, Microbiology & Genetics, Stem Cell Research, Organic & Biochem Research, Cell & Molecular Labs, Tissue Culture Labs, Forensics, Organismal & Synthetic Chemistry, and others. Mechanical infrastructure includes: chilled water provided by campus-wide energy plant, enthalpy recovery wheel, gas-fired condensing hydronic boilers, plate & frame heat exchanges and heat recovery chillers. Electrical power provided by: 2,500KVA transformer, 4,000 AMP normal switchboard, 1,250 KW natural gas generator and an 2,500 AMP emergency switchboard. Seeking LEED Silver Certification.
